The purpose of this paper is to examine the implementation competitive strategy processes in SME. topic was approached by using elements practice theory analyse activity a range different SMEs. research method adopted based on data collected from in-depth interviews with sixteen owner managers. Using as an analytical framework, it established that majority firms study utilised four key practices, order obtain advantages market place. A central contributing successful position revolved around customer service processes, supported other practices concerned cost control, supplier and wider network partnerships. are revealed regarding how smaller firm can achieve advantage place, having implications for management practice, future generation. value little work exists regard application Consequently, our helps fill gap understanding relationship between individual actors nature institutionally strategic they inhabit reproduce.
